At last Sunday's MSB St. Patrick's Day 5k around the streets of Dublin our men's team took second place, just behind Crusaders AC. First home for the Club was Paul Stephenson 6th in 15.25, followed by Robert Murphy 14th in 15.49, Paul Fleming 17th in 15.58 and Shane O'Neill 18th in 16.00. Shane was also 2nd in M40 Category. Next came Michael Freely 16.36, Daragh Powell 16.57 and Peter Toomey 17.13. The full results are on the Precision Timing website. Well done to all who ran.

At the Meath Spring Half Marathon in Bohermeen, Paul Moran finished 10th in 1:14:24, winning M50. In the 10km, Denis Daly finished 16th in 39:35, with Michael Devine 51st. Turlough Conway won the Debra Ireland Wicklow Mountains Challenge Half Marathon in Glendalough in a time of 1:29:18.
The Irish Universities Athletics Association National Cross-Country took place in Clongowes Wood over the weekend, with a number of Rathfarnham athletes competing. David Scanlon finished 14th on the winning DCU team, along with Alan Danagher (70th, DCU) and Ger Claffey (99th, TCD).
In the womens race, Roisin Long (UCD) finished in 28th place.
Next up in the University athletics calender is the Track and Field Championships on April 10/11th.
Finally, Brian Furey was 6th in the 22km GaelForce Mountain Run in Killary Fjord.
Congratulations to Sean Hehir who was second in Ballycotton this afternoon in a time of 49.14, finishing 11 seconds behind Sergiu Ciobanu who won the race for the fifth consecutive year. Dave Power was next home from the club in 52nd place in a time of 57.34, followed by Edwin Keville (1st M45 in 58.15), Archie O'Donnell (174th in 1.03.16), Derek Bain (105.58), Eddie O'Mahony (109.55), Gavin Moutray (1.11.31), Katherine Howard (1.14.27), and Helen Ingram (2nd F55 in 1.14.29).
