We had 15 athletes competing in the Dublin Indoor Championships at Tallaght Stadium yesterday. Highlight of the day was Niamh McLaughlin taking bronze in the U17 girls 800m in her first race for the Club. She was followed home by Rosin Long (6th) and Flora Saerberg (7th). Patricia took silver in the girls U19 800m race. Niamh Tynan was 5th in the girls U16 800m and also qualified for the final of the U16 200m. It was a good day for the Rathfarnham girls.
David Scanlon was 4th in the U19 800m, followed home by Ian Rankin 5th, Sean Hayes 6th and Paddy O' Donohoe. Tom McGrath was 5th in the U15 boys 800m and was followed home by Richard Keogh (5th) and Ashur Fernandes. In the U17 800m Oisin Joyce was 9th and Donal Murphy 10th. Oisin McGrath ran well in the U18 boys 800m.
It was great to see so many of our junior athletes compete in very difficult weather. Well done to all.
