Report from BHAA Data Solutions 5k Road Race 6Dec2009

Well done to Eoin Flynn in winning the BHAA 5k Road Race in a windy Marley Park today in a time of 15.57. Willie Morris was 5th (17.01) and showed no ill effects of his Jingle Bells 5K on Saturday. Other club members whio run well were John McHugh (28th, 18.37), Terry Clarke (51st., 19.25) and Philip Wright (72nd., 20.30). Full results are posted on the BHAA website. Link. Report of Jingle Bells 5k Road Race Sat. 5th Dec. 2009

Preliminary results from the Donore Harriers sponsored Jingle Bells 5k Road Race in the Phoenix Park today are now available. First home for the Club was Paul Fleming (10th, 15.11) followed by Willie Morris (30th, 16.26),Sean Doyle (17.29), Derek Bain (18.05), Liam Griffin (19.06), Gerard Claffey (19.30), Diarmuid Coogan (19.31) and P.J. Florence Marathon, Sunday 29th Nov. 2009

Barry Minnock and Donna Mahon had superb runs in their marathon debut in the Florence Marathon today. Barry was home 12th in a time of 2.24.00 out of a field of over 8,100 runners, on a largely flat course featuring cobblestones and sharp corners. Donna completed the course in 2.53.47 in 242th position and 23rd female. She was also 4th over 35. Well done to both. Full results on the Firenze Marathon 2009 website.
