First off on Friday night was Helen Leonard who was 5th woman and 3rd O/35 in the Donoughmore 7 mile road race in Co Cork., in a time of 48.18. Full results are available on the St Finbarr’s website. There were some great performances in the Irish Runner 5 mile race in the Phoenix Park yesterday, in which eleven Rathfarnham athletes took part. First home was Michael Freeley (16th in 26.05), followed by Jason Reid (31st in 26.45), Turlough Conway (9th O/35 in 27.30), Will Morris (60th in 27.26), Brendan Hogan (2nd O/50 in 27.58), John Farrelly (6th O/45 in 28.04), Mick Bolger (10th O/40 in 28.31), Derek Bain (12th O/40 in 28.54), Donna Mahon (3rd O/35 in 28.57), Ciara Hassett (36th woman in 32.58), and Lorraine Nolan (44rd woman in 33.23). In the Dublin Mountain Plod half marathon hill race this morning, Adrian Tucker was 17th and 3rd O/50 in a time of 96.10, Laura Flynn was 2nd woman and 1st O/40 in 111.40, and Archie O’Donnell was 80th in a time of 118.42.
