Well done to Peter O'Farrell who came 2nd. in the Gaelfore West 2010 Adventure Event in Wesport on Saturday. Peter completed the 65km course in 3.37.0. Paul Mahon was 6th in 3.48.40, while Laura Flynn was 6th lady and 1st O.40 in 4.52.51. The course included cycling around Westport, running/hiking up and down Croagh Patrick, and kyaking across Killiary Harbour. Well done to all. Full results on Gaelforce West website.

On Friday last at a Golf Classic organised by Tallaght Athletic Club at the South Dublin Golf Club in Brittas Bay, a Club team of Ian Ingram, John McCabe, John McHugh and Brian Rankin took first prize. Well done to all. Hopefully their golfing prowess will translate to the athletic field. |

Some excellent results were achieved in today's Frank Duffy 10 mile road race. First home was Brian Furey in 14th in 54.51, followed by Michael Freeley 28th in 57.00, Louis McCarthy 30th in 57.04, John Brennan (58.??), John Farrelly 91st in 61.44, Brendan Hogan 99th in 62.20, 105th Derek Bain in 62.40, Mick Bolger 127th in 63.32, Kevin Bolger (63.55), Terry Clarke 66.40, Ollie ??, (67.36), Eoin Murry 69.24, Tony Connolly 70.48, PJ Claffey 72.08, Lorraine Nolan 72.54, Leslie Tilson 72.56, Anne French 81.34 in her first 10 miler, Joanne Hope 83.34 and Deirdre Connolly 93.55. Also running but no times to hand were Mark Ryan, Helen, Aisling Tohill and Ciara Hassett . A total of 23 runners, well done to all. Full results on Dublin Marathon website.
