Well done to Clare Sullivan who ran a very strong race to win the Ladies Novice Cross Country Championships in the Phoenix Park yesterday. Clare was up with the leading pack from the start and made her break for victory up the long straight to the finish. Meanwhile in the mens novice race Robert Murphy equally kept with the leading pack over the 6,000m course and finished strongly to come in second. Robert led his team home to the gold medal position and was supported by Eoin McLoughlin 8th, Donagh Powell 12th and Neil Bolger 13th. Other finishers from the Club were Aaron Brown 32nd, Greg Byrne 35th, Neil Skelton 36th and Oisin Bowland 82nd. The ladies team finished 5th. Clare was supported by Lynne Hennessy 5th, Suzanne Ryan 22nd and Una Rice 56th. The full results are on the Dublin Athletics Board website and pictures of all who ran are in the Gallery and on our Facebook site at Rathfarnham AC. Well done to all.
