Dublin Intermediate Cross Country Championships

Rathfarnham had wins in both the women's & men's races today. Clare Sullivan completed an amazing double, adding the Intermediate title to the Novice title she won earlier in the autumn. Rathfarnham men's team took gold over a new course in Tymon Park. Shane O'Neill led the team home in 3rd overall, followed by Eoin McLoughlin 6th, Donagh Powell 8th, Aaron Browne 16th, Neil Skelton 31st and Oisin Bolan 44th.

In the women's race, Clare Sullivan was first home. The women's team included Sue Ryan 14th, Aisling O'Connor 22nd, Bernadette Crowley 32nd, Jenny O'Malley 37th.

Waterford AC Half Marathon

Seán Hehir finished 2nd in the Waterford Half Marathon in 1:06:11, after a close battle with Sergiu Ciobanu. Ciobanu finished 20 seconds ahead of Hehir and 2,000 competitors in this popular race in the south east. Katie Fitzgerald finished in 1:47:08.

Jingle Bells 5km

Louis McCarthy was 11th in the festive 5km in the Phoenix Park in 15:17. Also inside the top 15 was Brian Furey in a PB of 15:36. Other club finishers below:
