Well done to Club athletes Mark Ryan, Kevin Keane Donna Mahon and Michael Treacy who competed for Ireland in the 25th World Mountain Running Championships near Madesimo in Northern Italy. Both Ryan and Keane ran strongly and battled all the way and helped the Irish team achieve 14th overall out of 23 countries which is the best team placing since Malaysia in 1999. Mark Ryan finishing in 86th (64:54) & Kevin Keane finishing in 108th (68:33). Donna Mahon ran bravely in the womens race and finished 45th (50:40). The Irish team finished 8th overall out of 14 countries. The team placing was our first top ten finish since 1991. Michael Treacy had a storming run in the Junior Mens race to finish 43rd (44:48).
